© 2011 - Game On Sports Academy              Kevin Berry is currently the manager for the Florida Mustangs and the Southland Colts. He attended Natchitoches Central High School where he played football and baseball. He recieved numerous awards, including All District 2 - AAAA honors, he was selected as a member of the All North Louisiana team in 1986 and recognized as the MVP.  Also in 1986, Kevin was featured in Who’s Who in American High Schools. Following high school, in 1988 he attended McLennan Community College, majoring in Arts and Science. He was an All Confrence selection as an outfielder in 1988.  Next He attended Louisiana State University. During his time at LSU, Kevin was a participant in the College World Series of 1989. Later that year, Kevin was selected as a member of the Great Lakes Semi-Professional League, the Great Lakes All-Star Team. He was the MVP for the South Bend All-Star Game. In 1990, Kevin was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 19th round. In 1991 he recieved the Mayor’s Award in his hometown of Natchitoches, Louisiana. After leaing the Reds, Kevin worked as the an assistant baseball coach at Northwester State University. In 1994, he worked as an assistant baseball coach (specializing in pitching, strength and conditioning) for the University of Alabama. From 1994-1995 the team had an overall record of 42-23. The team was SEC tournament champion, and runner-up in the Atlantic Region in 1995. In 1996, recieved  his Master’s degree in Sports Administration/Business Law  from Northwestern State University. From 1997-2001 Kevin was the assistant baseball coach at Okaloosa-Walton Community College. During this time the team held a record of 139-64. They were conference champions in 2000-2001, and the conference runner-up in 1998-1999. Beginning in 2004, Kevin served at the coach for the Lewis Middle School baseball team. The team finished with an undefeated record of 7-0 and were district champions. From 2001-2006 Kevin worked for Yep Sports Management as a National Pitching and Hitting Specialist. 2006 brought Kevin to the head coaching job for the Niceville Eagles baseball team. During his tenure, the team recieve numerous awards, including: 1-5A District Champions (2008), Regional Champions (2008), Final Four  (2008), #1 Ranking in Florida (2007), #19 National Ranking (2007). The team’s overall record was 28-5. Under Kevin’s leadership, the team saw 11 scholarships awards, 3 players were drafted, and one player, Brett Devall, was selected in the first round by the Atlana Braves. In 2009, Kevin was a partner with the East Coast Grays baseball team. Kevin is married to Kimberly, and has two children, Taylor and Cassidy. Game On Sports Academy 915 E.
