Meet Our Instructors - Tory Haddad

Coach Benson was the head volleyball coach at Auburn University from 2007 - 2010. He led Auburn to their first ever NCAA appearance in 2010, including the first ever first round win and second round appearance. He attained the most conference wins at Auburn in 2009 and 2010 than in the last ten years. Coach Benson entered 2006 with a career winning percentage of .760, is first in Big Sky Conference history, and was 11th among active NCAA Division I coaches. He led Eastern Washington to berths in conference championship matches all seven seasons and qualified for two NCAA Tournaments. The 2001 team advance to the second round and finished with a 21-6 mark. The eagles placed third or higher in the regular-season standings all 11 seasons he served on the coaching staff. Coach Benson was named the Co-Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year, 2002 and 2006. Coach Benson teaches and developes players technically, tactically, physically and psychologically. He develops player team building and leadership, monitors and mentors their athletic and academic success, promotes support of players and teams through community interaction, and implements personal and educational goal-setting programs. A total of 4 of his players have been named to the All-SEC team, from 2008-2010. A total of 12 players have been named First team All-Big Sky Conference and two claimed Most Valuable Player accolades. One player earned AVCA All-Pacific Region Honorable Mention accolades.
